I showed up to Elzard's for band practice, we had a rock, jam, jazz fusion band called SIKKEMA back in the day, and he showed me this pump organ idea he had and asked me if I had any ideas, The rest of the day was spent recording guitar tracks, upright bass, banjos, crumpling leaves, footsteps, and laughing about how stoked we were on this track. Elzard is one of the biggest and most important influences on my life, we started playing music together in middle school. He was my introduction to outsider music, recording, and my support in playing the music I love. I would be nowhere without this man. He taught me how to play the drums, how to garden, how to make the best spinach salads, and even got me on the soccer team in high school. This song, at one point (and still does) held the passing of my grandparents and good friends, but it also holds in it's place him, as my friend, teacher, and brother.
